This individual will work across agile teams to ensure our applications meet functional, performance and coding standards. This role requires the application of industry best practices for application and software quality testing. Intermediate Technology Specialist, Quality covers a specialized area dedicated to high-quality application and solution delivery for applications supporting the Individual Wealth line of business. Related activities will include planning, developing, coordinating, and participating in the full suite of testing activities including functional, system integration, and end-to-end testing activities for Individual Wealth Applications & Systems.Join one of the region’s top employers and be part of something that truly makes a differenceWork Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.What you’ll do:
  • Build, maintain and optimize new/existing automation frameworks.
  • Create and execute Test Strategies, Test Plans and Test Cases.
  • Perform automated and manual testing.
  • Lead/Assist with test analysis and participate in technical analysis meetings.
  • Identify and document defects until resolution.
  • Work on production support tickets to ensure their resolution and that it meets our business partners requirements.
  • Effectively communicate and explain defects to team members, assist team in bug fixes.
  • Provide technical guidance to peers and/or end-users regarding technologies that enable continuous delivery of shared solutions.
  • Assist in the maintenance of existing internal processes and quality system management documentation to uphold quality Standards.
  • Inspect systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvements to workflow and enhanced efficiencies.
What you’ll bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, College diploma or equivalent work experience
  • At least 3-5 years of experience with Software testing practices such as test planning, test execution and defect tracking.
  • 2 years of experience in test automation.
  • Sound knowledge of QA practices, tools, methodology and processes.
  • Relevant experience with testing tools such as Azure DevOps and automation tools such as Robot Framework, N-Unit, JMeter, Ready API etc.
  • Experience with Test Management tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps.
  • Working knowledge of C#.NET and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of web service testing tools such as SoapUI, Postman.
  • Experience with XML file manipulation and SQL
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative.
  • Awareness and understanding of cultural diversity.
  • Experience in Agile and knowledge of CI/CD will be an asset.
  • Have or working towards QA Certification considered an asset.
  • Familiarity to Robot Framework is considered an asset.
