You will partner with cross-functional business and IT teams to design, test, implement, and continuously enhance systems that deliver reliable, compliant, and client-focused experiences. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.What you’ll do:
  • Establish and monitor quality control systems and production standards, ensuring products meet defined specifications, performance expectations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Business and IT partners on solution design, development, testing, and quality management of shared infrastructure systems and applications.
  • Perform hands-on testing, configuration, troubleshooting, and validation of applications and infrastructure, including upgrades, maintenance, and replacements.
  • Implement and uphold corporate policies, standards, governance, and quality frameworks across assigned technologies and solutions.
  • Identify root causes of defects and recurring issues, lead corrective actions, and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Inspect systems, workflows, and processes to identify efficiency gains, automation opportunities, and process improvements.
  • Monitor system performance and capacity usage to ensure operational availability, stability, and process integrity.
  • Maintain quality system documentation, test artifacts, and internal processes aligned with organizational standards.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to junior team members, ensuring solutions comply with security, governance, and business directives.
  • Partner with internal and external teams to improve client satisfaction by delivering stable, high-quality systems and services.
What you’ll bring:
  • Advanced experience (5+ years) in IT, with multi-domain expertise and strong depth in Quality Assurance practices.
  • Proven expertise in software testing practices including test planning, execution, defect management, and quality reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with QA and automation tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Selenium, SmartBear TestComplete, ReadyAPI, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of application infrastructure, technical platforms, development and scripting languages, and test automation concepts.
  • Contemporary and/or advanced QA or relevant technical certifications, with a post-secondary degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • A client-focused mindset, balancing service commitments, efficiency, quality, and regulatory requirements while striving for first-contact resolution where possible.
  • Strong analytical and critical reasoning skills, able to make sound, time-sensitive decisions and manage competing priorities in complex environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability—coaching others, influencing outcomes, sharing knowledge, and leading by example with accountability and urgency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging diverse stakeholders, resolving conflict, and translating complex technical information effectively.
