Our Public Sector client requires the assistance of an Intermediate Business Process Consultant to support a business transformation initiative focused on Integrated Business Planning. The organization is undertaking an independent assessment of its current business planning processes, tools, and resource structures to strengthen planning capabilities and support future operational requirements.The Intermediate Business Process Consultant will play a key role in leading the analytical and documentation components of the engagement, including data collection, process review, and preparation of a comprehensive assessment of current business planning practices.Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Develop a comprehensive interview questionnaire tailored for leadership and business planners. Capture a complete understanding of how L1 identifies, plans, and prioritizes its human, financial, and materiel resource requirements
  • Liaise with Senior Business Consultant. Obtain outputs from L1 and L2 interviews
  • Review all L1-developed business planning tools and corresponding process documentation. Assess alignment, usability, effectiveness, and integration across planning activities
  • Examine the last two business plans. Assess the quality, completeness, accuracy, and consistency of planning outputs across fiscal years
  • Prepare a detailed written assessment report. Describe current organizational business planning practices; evaluate HR capacity, classification levels, and structures; assess completeness and accuracy of planning results and readiness to transition to Integrated Business Planning (IBP); provide a structured SWOT analysis; identify required improvements in processes, tools, and human resources to achieve IBP compliance and best practices
  • Provide advisory services to leadership in support of emerging requirements within the portfolio
About YouThe successful candidate will have the following:Mandatory Requirements
  • English essential
  • Post-secondary education (degree, diploma, or higher qualification from a recognized institution)
  • Valid Reliability security clearance (or eligibility to obtain prior to contract award)
  • Experience with a minimum of eight (8) years developing business planning documentation, assessments, or analytical reports
  • Experience from at least two (2) projects or programs undertaken within the past five (5) years in mapping cross-functional business processes, such as Finance, Human Resources, or Operations, to support alignment of strategic objectives with operational plans, workforce planning, or financial forecasting over multi-year planning horizons
  • Experience from at least two (2) projects or programs undertaken within the past five (5) years in stakeholder interviews or workshops
  • Experience from at least two (2) projects or programs undertaken within the past five (5) years in elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business and/or process requirements
  • Experience from at least two (2) projects or programs undertaken within the past five (5) years in the development of process maps, workflows, or planning artefacts
  • Experience from at least two (2) projects or programs undertaken within the past five (5) years in supporting gap analysis for business or planning processes
  • Experience from at least two (2) projects or programs undertaken within the past five (5) years in effectively communicating findings and recommendations to both management and working-level stakeholders
Assets may include
  • Experience supporting Integrated Business Planning (IBP) or similar enterprise planning frameworks
  • Experience working within public sector or large, complex organizations
  • Experience conducting business process reviews or organizational assessments
