- Partner with leaders to support and advance HR initiatives that align with business objectives and operational needs.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on people-related matters, providing practical guidance on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and change initiatives.
- Support the development and rollout of various HR initiatives, coach leaders on feedback, goal setting, and addressing performance concerns.
- Assist leaders in managing employee issues and workplace concerns, ensuring matters are addressed fairly, consistently, and in accordance with company policy and employment standards.
- Coach leaders on effective and consistent people management practices, promoting early identification and resolution of workplace issues.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to support recruitment priorities, workforce planning, and readiness for critical and hard‑to‑fill roles.
- Support succession planning and talent discussions to strengthen leadership capability and bench strength.
- Partner with leadership on compensation‑related considerations, role alignment, and workforce planning activities.
- Apply employment legislation and company policies in day‑to‑day situations, supporting investigations, complaints, and escalations as required.
- Contribute to initiatives that enhance employee engagement, workplace culture, and retention.
- Utilize HR metrics and workforce information to identify trends, themes, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead or support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR programs, processes, and tools.
- Support consistent application of HR policies, practices, and standards across operational teams and sites.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. CPHR designation preferred.
- 5-7+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a Business Partner capacity.
- Experience in the construction/mining industry would be considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and industry regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven experience in talent management, leadership coaching, and employee development.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
- Strategic workforce planning and organizational development.
- Employee relations and conflict resolution expertise.
- Proficiency with HR systems and data analytics tools, familiarity with Bistrainer, Power BI, and iCIMS is an asset.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate.

- Ability to navigate complex HR challenges with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
