- Assist in the production of engineering designs, drawings, specifications, cost estimates and tender documents for energy and resource engineering projects.
- Take projects from preliminary concepts and sketches into engineering designs, plans, and project documentation requirements, using primarily Civil 3D, as well as other technical software as needed.
- Coordinate the preparation of documents required for regulatory approvals and prepare construction cost estimates.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure schedules, budgets and quality control standards are achieved.
- Liaise with contractor, clients/owners and affected stakeholders.
- Conduct field inspections to provide quality assurance and verification of the work performed. Travel with potential overnight stays required, dependent on project location.
- 0-3 years experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D Software.
- Registration as an ASET T.T. or another technical accreditation is an asset.
- Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology or Civil Engineering Technology is an asset.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work without supervision as well as within a busy and close-knit team environment.
