· Extensive health benefits including group medical and dental benefits, and short-term and long-term disability benefitsJob Description:About the Role:As a Financial Analyst within the FP&A team at Finning, you will play a key role in supporting strategic financial decision-making through detailed analysis, reporting, and forecasting.Your responsibilities will include:1. Financial Reporting & Insights:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with high accuracy.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide clear, insightful commentary.
- Support the development of executive-level presentations.
- Collaborate with business units to build and maintain financial models.
- Assist in annual budgeting and rolling forecasts aligned with strategic goals.
- Perform ad hoc analysis to evaluate business initiatives and investment opportunities.
- Recommend actions to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external standards (e.g., IFRS).
- Conduct peer reviews and maintain high data quality standards.
- Leverage Advance Excel and financial systems (e.g INFOR/M3, BPC/AFO, DBS, OneStream, SAP) for reporting and analysis.
- Continuously improve reporting tools and processes
- Partner with regional finance teams and operational stakeholders.
- Communicate complex financial concepts in a clear, actionable manner.
- Analytical Thinking – Strong ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Attention to Detail – High accuracy in reporting and data validation.
- Organizational Skills – Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Communication Skills – Clear and effective communication with both financial and non-financial audiences.

- Technical Proficiency – Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, formulas); experience with ERP systems and EPM solutions to support analysis & reporting).
- Business Acumen – Understanding of financial principles and their impact on business decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- CPA, CFA, or progress toward designation is an asset
- 3 - 7 years of experience in an analytical role in FP&A or Accounting
- Experience in a large, complex organization preferred
