- Be responsible for creating the manufacturing file.
- Define the optimal assembly sequence in compliance with health and safety rules and technical constraints.
- Create work plans in accordance with the assembly sequence.
- Create the appropriate visual work instructions based on the production environment. The format may be 3D (industry 4.0) or 2D, depending on the type of assembly.
- Support the production launch of new work packages.
- Keep the manufacturing file up to date (work schedule, work instructions)
- Establish standards for the creation of work plans and work instructions.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement based on problem-solving techniques as well as Kaizen, “Six Sigma”, “Lean”, “Design Thinking”, and Agile concepts.
- Define and control the evolution, the key stages, and the control points of the project and carry out the follow-up.
- Work in collaboration with different teams: Engineering, production, project managers, and IT.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Industrial Work Methods
- Proficiency in reading and understanding assembly drawings
- Mastery of 3D CAD model manipulation
- Mastery in the execution of manufacturing projects
- Knowledge of PLM, MP link, and Créo view (An asset)
- Knowledge of the manufacturing environment and these issues.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Leadership, good team spirit, and change management skills.
- Comfortable in a distributed work environment, remotely and sometimes in the office if necessary for the position.
- Bilingualism (French and English) required.
