- Research and draft high-quality briefing notes, speeches, talking points, and backgrounders to support the President & CEO and other senior leaders.
- Develop and execute long- and short-form communications for external audiences, including presentations, white papers, and articles.
- Collaborate with business teams and corporate partners on brand building efforts.
- Ideate and produce high-impact presentation materials for meetings, conferences, and investor engagements.
- Coordinate communications materials and logistics for senior executive interviews, speaking opportunities, and stakeholder events.
- Contribute to the Fund's thought leadership through initiatives like the CPP Investments Insights Institute and CPP Investments CEO Energy Summit, including amplification of published content.
- Ensure delivery of best-in-class materials with attention to detail, quality, and strategic alignment.
- Bachelor's or graduate degree in Public Policy, Economics, Journalism, Political Science, Finance, or related field.
- 6+ years of relevant experience in strategic communications, public affairs, research, or consulting.
- Experience in financial services, professional services, government, or a communications agency is considered an asset.
- Excellent writing and editorial skills; able to quickly synthesize information and draft high-quality, audience-appropriate content.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
- Highly proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
- Professional discretion and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel). Experience with SharePoint, Mailchimp, or Salesforce is a plus.
- Familiarity with corporate use of LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter) is an asset.
