Our client is seeking a talented finance professional to support the financial management of complex projects within a dynamic and growing organization. Reporting to the Finance leadership team, this role works closely with project and operational stakeholders to monitor performance, provide financial insight, and help ensure accurate reporting throughout the lifecycle of various initiatives.Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor project-related costs and analyze variances against budgets and forecasts
  • Support project performance through detailed financial tracking and analysis
  • Assist with the preparation of project billings and help monitor related collections activity
  • Maintain and reconcile project financial data across operational and accounting systems
  • Prepare periodic financial reports and summaries related to project performance
  • Prepare and review project financial reports, including WIP reporting
  • Contribute to forecasting activities, including cost projections and cash flow considerations
  • Support reconciliation of contracts, change orders, and vendor commitments to project financials
  • Ensure consistent cost allocation and financial documentation across projects
  • Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insight and address discrepancies
  • Assist with tracking key project metrics and performance indicators
  • Contribute to the month-end and year-end financial reporting processes
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Progress toward a CPA designation is considered an asset
  • Experience supporting project-based environments (construction, engineering, infrastructure, or similar industries) is required
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reconciliations
  • Experience in preparing financial reports and supporting forecasting activities
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally with operations and finance teams
