- Manage the continued development of the company's budget, forecast, and annual operating plan including the upkeep of internal models
- Develop 5-year strategy and operating plans by partnering with functional leaders in the organization, CFO and CEO
- Produce of presentations and decks for the executive team and board of directors
- Act as an internal consultant by collaborating with stakeholders to identify research questions, establish hypotheses, determine metrics to be assessed, and interpret the results of analyses to drive insight
- Manage all phases of projects, including consulting with clients, developing research/project plans, data collection, analysis and presentation
- Drive innovation by asking challenging questions of internal client teams and guiding them with data
- Serve as the face of insights and analytics within Nando's by developing strong relationships with key stakeholders and supporting cross-functional business initiatives
- Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators, including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, labor, expenses, and capital expenditures
- Monitor performance indicators, to include highlighting trends, analyzing causes of unexpected variance, proposing solutions and optimization strategies, and participation in implementation
- Leverage tools and existing data to develop robust quantitative models and analytical insights that support business initiatives
- Identify appropriate analytical tools and methods and use advanced knowledge of business analysis to perform a range (basic to highly complex) of quantitative analyses and predictive modeling
- Collaborate with Marketing to synthesize and analyze key local and national efforts to drive transactions, sales, and profitability
- Analyze sales and business trends and help prepare actionable weekly and monthly analytics & reporting packages for Nando's leadership team
- Help in the completion of data warehouse to include data sources, validation, and business rules to produce automated reports, dashboards, and data views
- Provide reporting and other tools as requested to support data-driven decision-making across all levels of the organization
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, data science, or related field; MBA or other related Master's degree preferred
- 7+ years' experience in FP&A with 3+ years' experience in a FP&A Manager or similar role
- Experience in root cause analysis, correlation analysis, test vs control analysis, demographic segmentation, and benchmarking
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data manipulation and statistic functions
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, WhereScape, SQL, or relational databases
- Ability to extract, aggregate, normalize and mine data sets for analysis
- Exceptional presentation and communications skills with an emphasis on the ability to communicate complex concepts simply and effectively a wide variety of audiences
- Restaurant, hospitality, or related field experience preferred
- Ability to interpret a variety of different data sources from qualitative research to primary survey data and secondary data sources to create a cohesive story
