- Working shifts of 10 days on and 4 days off or 14 days on and 7 days off.

- Trim, prune, and remove trees and branches that pose a risk to power lines, poles, and other utility infrastructure
- Conduct regular inspections of areas around power lines to assess potential hazards posed by trees or branches
- Work in both urban and rural environments, managing vegetation near overhead and underground utility lines
- Use specialized techniques to safely bring down trees without damaging surrounding property, infrastructure, or utility equipment
- Operate power tools and equipment such as chainsaws, pole saws, aerial lifts, chipper trucks, stump grinders, and cranes to perform tree trimming and removal
- Train and supervise crew members to ensure that safety procedures are followed, especially when working around high-voltage electrical equipment
- Maintain records of tree maintenance activities, including tree removal, pruning schedules, and any damage caused by vegetation to utility infrastructure
- Track vegetation management progress and document completed work for utility records or regulatory compliance
- Ensure work is done in compliance with environmental regulations, minimizing damage to natural habitats and wildlife
- Other duties as required
- Certified Utility Arborist (CUA or UA) or Utility Tree Trimmer (UTT), or ability to challenge exam.
- Basic knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits and correct arboriculture techniques for trimming, pruning, repairing, maintaining and removing.
- Valid Class 5 drivers’ license with less than 6 demerits
- Applicant must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
- Current First Aid with CPR or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift, move and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis and up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Ability to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather and environmental conditions.
