ABOUT THE ROLEThe Plant Foreman is responsible for the daily activities and performance for their specific plant / area of operation. Their primary focus is ensuring operational safety and minimizing environmental impacts while driving plant performance. Regular communication between the Plant Foreman and Area Manager is a key component to ensuring operational performance along with the management of the operational workforce. The Plant Foreman must maintain consistent safety records of the plant and its operations, personnel, and its subcontractors and must take immediate action if there is any violation of Amrize policies. The Plant Foreman ensures Amrize is viewed as a leader in the industry and in local communities in which it operates.WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISHSafety Leadership: Enforce and promote Amrize safety policies, develop a “think before you act” safety culture, and maintain compliance with all local, provincial, and federal safety regulations.Human Resources Management: Hire, train, and manage plant personnel, foster positive employee relations, address performance concerns, and ensure employees are fit for duty.Production Oversight: Manage efficient plant operations to meet production goals with minimal costs while emphasizing continuous improvement and preventative maintenance.Environmental Compliance: Ensure plant operations meet Amrize and regulatory environmental guidelines; coordinate with environmental managers and take corrective action when needed.Customer Focus: Optimize inventory, scheduling, and logistics to meet demand and deliver high-quality products with strong customer service.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Quality Control, Safety, Sales, Environment teams, and act as the contractor coordinator on-site.Daily Operational Tasks: Conduct safety meetings, equipment inspections, employee training, contractor management, maintenance scheduling, and ensure housekeeping standards.Weekly and Monthly Responsibilities: Perform site inspections, mentoring, scheduling, fuel tracking, toolbox talks, and manage monthly reports and emergency drills.Incident and Compliance Management: Oversee disciplinary actions, incident investigations, near-miss reporting, and implement mandated safety and environmental actions.Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOREducation: High school diploma or equivalentRequired Training/Certifications: All required training will be providedRequired Work Experience: 5+ years of aggregates operations or supervisor experienceAdditional Requirements:60% of daily time spent in the field, on-site reviewing operations, mentoring employees, and directing contractors30% of daily tasks involve logging, tracking, reviewing and documenting10% of daily tasks involve scheduling and organizingCompany trucks for company use only - must keep maintained, cleaned, and all damage reported.IPad/IPhone for company use only - data overages will be investigated. Devices are company property and can be inspected at any time.Laptops are company property and are to be used for company purposes only.Credit cards are for business use only.Fuel card for company truck use only.Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
