Plumbing, Gas & Hydronic Foreman – High-Rise ResidentialLocation: Calgary, AlbertaProject: High-rise residential apartment buildingWe are an established mechanical contracting company specializing in large-scale residential and commercial projects. Our focus is on delivering high-quality plumbing, gas, and hydronic systems on schedule and within budget while maintaining the highest safety standards.We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Plumbing, Gas & Hydronic Foreman to lead our mechanical team on an 8-storey residential apartment project in Calgary. The ideal candidate will have high-rise experience and will oversee all aspects of plumbing, gas fitting, and hydronic heating installations from start to finish.Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily work of plumbing, gas, and hydronic installation crews.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, specifications, and project drawings.
  • Plan work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines.
  • Ensure installations comply with Alberta Building Code, Plumbing & Gas Codes, and safety regulations.
  • Oversee quality control for all mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate with site supervisors, project managers, and other trades to avoid delays.
  • Troubleshoot on-site issues and provide technical guidance.
  • Track materials, labor hours, and completed work for reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Journeyman Plumber & Gasfitter (Class B) certification in Alberta (or Red Seal equivalent).
  • Hands-on high-rise experience in plumbing, gas, and hydronic heating systems.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Foreman or Lead Hand in multi-storey residential projects.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings.
  • Safety training certifications (CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid) preferred.
