Description :SMS Equipment is growing in Kamloops, BC. We're hiring a Heavy Equipment Technician, Journeyperson to support mining and construction operations in a remote field environment. If you’re a skilled troubleshooter with a safety-first mindset and the ability to work independently, we want to hear from you.Base Wage: $52.31 per hour. Additional premiums apply.
Location: Kamloops, BC
Schedule: 7x7 days and nightsWhat You’ll Do
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems on heavy mining and construction equipment
  • Perform overhauls, maintenance, and new equipment builds
  • Troubleshoot issues using computerized and manual diagnostic tools
  • Work independently in remote field settings, including adverse weather and confined spaces
  • Follow safety protocols and contribute to continuous improvement in safe work practices
  • Lift up to 50 lbs as required by the role
What You BringThe successful candidate will be a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician. Other requirements include:
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems on heavy mining and construction equipment
  • Perform overhauls, maintenance, and new equipment builds
  • Troubleshoot issues using computerized and manual diagnostic tools
  • Work independently in remote field settings, including adverse weather and confined spaces
  • Follow safety protocols and contribute to continuous improvement in safe work practices
  • Lift up to 50 lbs as required by the role
