
General Labourer - FVL Potato

- Responsible for following all safety requirements.
- Material handling of 25 kg boxes and bags.
- Responsible for following change over policy and requirements.
- Responsible for some sanitation duties
- Trouble shoot, adjust and maintain equipment as required.
- Must follow “Good Manufacturing Practices” (GMP’s) and Critical Control Points (CCP’s).
- Ensure SQCDPE targets are met by understanding and goal setting of KPI’s.
- Relay information to other Team members as an area Lead (Key Area Resource).
- Follow JHA’s and work safely. Participate in STEP program (Behavioral safety observations)
- Dealing with production issues, working in a fast-paced team environment
- Participate in Team meetings, as required.
- Responsible for the yearly completion of the Performance Excellence Program (PEP) training and evaluation.
- Complete core curriculum E-learning courses
- Grade 12 education or GED
- Basic computer skills would be an asset
- Ability to work well with plant supervision and production employees
- Team player with excellent attendance
- Successful completion of 90-day training period
- Must have good mathematical skills and complete production forms accurately and neatly
- Demonstrate continuous initiatives and involvement
- Highly motivated, observant with good initiative and a positive attitude.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment adapting to and embracing change as it occurs.
- Willing to work shift work; nights and weekends.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must possess a good safety record and demonstrate “safety first’’ on a continual basis.
