- Review of previously completed investigations and reporting.
- Identify data gaps and commitments.
- Development of the scope and schedule related to their specialty.
- Lead the subject matter team tasked to complete investigations work and reporting.
- Incorporation of requirements into design.
- Confirmation that requirements and commitments are executed.
- Performs air quality assessments for construction and operational phases.
- Model emissions from traffic changes, construction equipment, and transit operations.
- Recommend mitigation measures such as dust control and emissions management.
- Develops air quality EMP. Supports regulatory submissions and environmental documentation.

- P. Eng
- a bachelor or advanced degree from a recognized university with specialization in chemical, civil or environmental engineering;
- experience in predicting the greenhouse gas emission implications of transportation alternatives; experience in designing and evaluating appropriate air quality impact mitigation for transportation projects;
- experience utilizing scientifically approved dispersion models, such as AERMOD, CAL4HQC and CAL3HQCR, and vehicle emission model, such as MOVES;
- experience in the determination of existing ambient air quality and exceedances in ambient air quality criteria prescribed by municipal, provincial and/or national standards;
- experience in Air Quality Sensitive Receptor identification, assessment of impacts, and the identification of mitigation measures;
- understanding of federal, Ontario and municipal laws and regulations as they pertain to air quality;
- and ability to liaise with other specialty consultants, contractors and Governmental Authorities.
