Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Expected Salary: ~$50,000 in base salary + CommissionResponsibilities:New Business Development and Account Management
- Identify and pursue new group benefits opportunities.
- Generate leads through referrals, professional contacts, and marketing initiatives.
- Execute sales plans aligned with defined acquisition objectives.
- Act as the primary advisor for assigned clients after onboarding.
- Lead renewal discussions in partnership with internal service teams.
- Present renewal analysis and recommendations.
- Maintain working relationships with client stakeholders.
- Identify changes in client requirements and recommend adjustments as appropriate.
- Meet new business targets.
- Support retention and growth of existing accounts.
- Contribute to revenue growth through additional services where appropriate.
- Assist in reviewing plan structures, including coverage design, pricing approach, and financial components.
- Assist with assessing plan suitability using benchmarking and industry information.
- Review benefit spend and identify opportunities for cost management.
- Help develop solutions aligned with client needs and organizational objectives.
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of clear, professional proposals.
- Work with internal teams to support onboarding, implementation, and ongoing service.
- Contribute to retention and account growth initiatives.
- Maintain awareness of market developments, insurer offerings, and underwriting practices.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the group benefits field.
- Post-secondary education, commerce/sales & marketing a plus
- Experience in lead generation, stages of sales, closing and procuring new business in B2B settings
- Knowledge of benefit products, pricing, and underwriting.
- Active LLQP license in British Columbia or willingness to obtain.
- Completed university degree.
- GBA and/or CEBS designation, or willingness to pursue is an asset.
