- Manage security and Security Operations Centre Staff (SOC)
- Support a culture that will drive a high-performance security and emergency management teams
- Review training programs with Client to ensure all standards meet and exceed site expectations, compliance and, development
- Lead and develop career progression and succession plans for the various security and management positions
- Provide continuous evaluation and compliance to Post Orders and site programs, communicate changes and updates when required.
- Communicate and maintain client relationship.
- Conduct monthly report outs of KPI's and ensure accuracy of all month end documentation.
- Ensure monthly Health and Safety inspections are conducted and committee meetings are held.
- Conduct weekly administrative duties including payroll, attendance, procedural audits, and performance management.
- In conjunction with the recruiting team, help develop and execute on local recruiting strategies
- Maintain staffing schedule, support shortages, and authorize vacation requests.
- Complete Employee Performance reviews and establish effective goals and objectives.
- With the support of the HR team, oversee all site labour and employee relations matters, lead investigations, recommend corrective actions, etc.
- All other duties as required.
- Valid Class G Driver's License.
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
- Post-secondary education in Law & Security, Police Foundations
- Ability to travel to multiple site locations.
- Valid Emergency First Aid Responder (Canadian Red Cross) and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including respirator fit testing, and walking, bending, and lifting when required.
- Strong multi-tasking and communication skills
- 3+ of previous leadership experience in the field of security, and personnel management is required
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
- Ability to respond to situations with tact and diplomacy and remain calm in stressful situations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, and ability to summarize information effectively and accurately.
- IMS 100 (IMS 200 and IMS 300 an asset)
- Intermediate level use MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).
- Previous experience using Lenel software considered an asset.
- Previous knowledge of building fire systems and fire code considered an asset.
- Previous experience managing multiple teams and locations, an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask required.
