**Please note that this role is a 12-month fixed term contract**The Human Resources Business Partner plays a strategic and hands-on role in supporting the organization’s human capital needs. This position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units, while also supporting recruitment efforts to attract top talent.As a trusted advisor, the Business Partner provides HR guidance on policies, organizational planning, performance management, and associate relations. In addition, the role will be involved in recruitment activities including job postings, candidate sourcing, and interviewing.RESPONSIBILITIESProvides consultative and strategic services, such as associate relations, relationship management, performance management, resource planning and accommodationBuilds strong relationships and serves as a trusted HR advisor to client groups and senior leaders on key strategic projectsMonitors emerging trends and best practices in the external marketplace and recommends solutions to enhance Honda's position as an employer of choiceProvides policy interpretation and advice to enhance leadership effectiveness and to ensure adherence to corporate HR policies, programs and standardsAssists and consults with People Leaders on workforce planning, succession planning, and performance managementCollaborate with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Talent Development, and Total Rewards teams to provide support and deliver high-quality customer serviceParticipate in and guide hiring managers through the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring business and hiring needs are understood.Engages in ongoing professional development and continuous learning through participation in professional associations, networking, self-directed study, and attendance at seminars, courses, and workshopsOther duties as requiredQUALIFICATIONSRelevant Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Business Administration or Human Resources3 – 5 years of relevant, progressive HR experience with a proven track record of delivering results with an emphasis on employee relations, relationship management, and recruitmentExperience in automotive, financial services or similar environment is an assetDemonstrated understanding of employment legislation, such as the Employment Standards Act and the Human Rights CodeDemonstrates passion for supporting an engaging onboarding experienceExcellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsA high level of initiative, adaptability and ability to work with minimal directionStrong diplomatic, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsDemonstrates the ability to build credibility and establish relationships, interacting effectively with associates at all levels within the organization.Excellent attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities/projects and manage time appropriatelyCertified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is an assetBilingualism in both English and French is an assetDevelops and maintains positive working relationships with all members of the HR teamDevelops and maintains good working relationships with internal and external stakeholdersEnjoys team building approach of management and department - shares resultsPlease note that as of November 2nd, 2025 we will be moving to a four day in office, one day work from home model for current hybrid roles.Honda Canada Inc. is committed to providing accommodation in its recruitment processes to applicants with disabilities, upon request.
