The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and executing long-term CAPEX and facilities strategies aligned with broader business objectives.
- Managing annual CAPEX budgets, forecasts, and reporting in collaboration with finance and operations teams.
- Leading, coaching, and mentoring a national team, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Applying financial modeling to support investment decisions and optimize asset performance.
- Ensuring compliance with provincial, territorial, and federal regulations.
- Conducting portfolio-wide assessments and creating multi-year investment plans.
- Building strong relationships with regional operational teams to ensure successful execution of capital projects.
- Overseeing the reliability and safety of building systems.
- Driving procurement strategy, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols and emergency preparedness plans.
- Integrating ERP systems and project management tools for transparency and accountability.
- Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and reputational risks in capital projects.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive leadership in CAPEX, facilities, or asset management.
- Proven track record managing strong capital budgets and large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, project management tools, and MS Office Suite.
- Experience in real estate, property management, construction, or institutional asset management is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CET, RPA, or FMA are considered strong assets.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align capital planning to organizational goals.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Decisive, financially astute, and technically sound.
