- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance tasks across multiple properties.
- Perform painting, carpentry, and plumbing duties with an emphasis on quality and durability.
- Ensure communal areas and property exteriors are clean, well-maintained, and meet safety standards.
- Record inventory used through inventory management system.
- Ensure that safety systems such as fire extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, and emergency exits are in excellent working condition.
- Recommend and request repairs that require specialized technical skills.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify areas needing attention.
- Responsibilities are done according to safety, preventative, predictive and prescriptive maintenance technologies, while adhering to company processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Basic understanding of Manitoba safety regulations and practices.
- Excellent customer service and professionalism.
- Advanced ability to independently troubleshoot and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/maneuver 50 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to work inside/outside in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work at heights and/or confined spaces.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Intermediate command of the English language.
- Minimum 6 months demonstrated experience as a Maintenance Technician or Handy-Person in a residential or hospitality setting.
- Experience using hand and power tools, as well as a basic understanding of building mechanical systems, plumbing and carpentry.
- Experience using computer systems including Microsoft Office programs, work order programs.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends, as required.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to emergency maintenance issues promptly.
- A valid, unrestricted, and clear Manitoba driver's license.
- Clear criminal record is required.
