Job Description:We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team on a contract basis in Etobicoke, Ontario. This role will focus on providing comprehensive human resources support, including employee relations, payroll processing, and HRIS management. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of Canadian employment law and hands-on experience in HR operations.Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate employee relations initiatives for a team of salaried employees, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  • Process payroll entries and updates using Dayforce, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain and manage HR systems by uploading and organizing employee records and information.
  • Provide support with U.S. payroll processing as required, adhering to relevant regulations.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to align with organizational goals and legal requirements.
  • Assist in benefits administration, including enrolment and addressing employee inquiries.
  • Conduct training sessions to support employee development and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to local employment laws and regulations in all HR practices.
  • Utilize HRIS tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the department.
  • Collaborate with management to address office operational needs and support HR strategy.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a Human Resources role, with a focus on generalist responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Canadian employment law and HR best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Dayforce payroll systems is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and HRIS tools.
  • Strong skills in benefits administration and policy development.
  • Proven ability to handle employee relations matters with discretion and professionalism.
  • Experience in training facilitation and employee development programs.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to support a small office environment.
