  • Develop and manage multi-year financial models to support strategic planning.
  • Conduct scenario analysis to support funding decisions, program expansions, and risk mitigation.
Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating closely with department leads and program staff.
  • Monitor performance against budgets, providing timely variance analysis and recommendations.
Reporting & Decision Support
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership, board members, and funders.
  • Translate financial data into clear insights to guide organizational decisions.
Operational Finance
  • Assist with and oversee day-to-day accounting processes: reconciliations, expense tracking, grant reporting, payroll.
  • Work hands-on with QuickBooks or similar accounting tools to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Grants, Compliance & Audit
  • Prepare and track grant budgets and reporting requirements.
  • Support audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors.
Process Improvement
  • Recommend and implement improvements to financial systems, workflows, and policies.
  • Introduce automation or simplification where possible to reduce manual overhead.
Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or nonprofit finance.
  • CPA or MBA preferred (or in progress); experience with nonprofit or social enterprise accounting a strong asset.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets and financial modeling skills.
  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Wagepoint or similar).
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment.
  • A willingness to get into the weeds-no task too big or too small.
