
Airport engineering planner

- Reporting & Accounting: Prepare monthly internal reports and supporting documents, perform month-end closing of purchasing and inventory sub-ledgers, prepare journal entries and manage general ledger transactions, coordinate quarterly and annual audit documentation with internal and external auditors;
- Terminal Planning Project Management: Manage terminal planning projects of significant scope, including conducting planning studies, developing analytical tools, and preparing recommendations for Airport's client decision-making. Oversee all phases of project management including tendering, contracting, scope development, and outcomes. Manage consultants and contractors throughout project execution;
- Terminal Planning and Analysis: Lead demand forecasting, statistical modeling, simulation, and data collection to inform terminal planning. Develop and analyze facility utilization metrics; recommend strategies to optimize space and operations. Manage passenger and baggage data, negotiate data agreements, and conduct cost-benefit analyses to support infrastructure investments;
- Reporting & Communication of Terminal Planning Deliverables: Prepare and present reports and recommendations to executive stakeholders and board committees. Develop planning-related policies and standards. Represent Airport's client at public meetings and external forums, ensuring alignment with the Airport's client Mission, Vision, Values, and Beliefs;
- Team Leadership: Terminal Systems Planning: Lead the Terminal Systems Planning team, overseeing recruitment, performance management, development planning, and budgeting. Fulfill the people manager promise by clarifying strategy, fostering innovation, removing barriers, coaching team members, and ensuring a safe, inclusive work environment. Perform other duties as assigned.

- Recognized post-secondary degree in Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Aviation Management, Computer Science, or related field; degree in Airport or Air Transportation Planning preferred;
- Typically, a minimum of 8 years progressive experience in airport or aviation planning, operations, or business planning;
- Minimum 3 years direct people leadership experience with ability to lead and motivate;
- Demonstrated experience (minimum 3 years; 5 years preferred) in data collection and analysis, process reengineering, statistical methods, and simulation modeling;
- Strong knowledge of airport planning, operations, systems, capacity planning and management, including air carrier and agency operations;
- Well-developed problem analysis, decision-making, multitasking, and time management skills in fast-paced environments;
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with ability to influence without authority and simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences;
- Applied knowledge of economic, statistical, and forecasting methods, aviation industry trends, and socio-economic factors affecting air travel demand, flexible and strategic mindset;
- Proven experience in customer-centric environments with strong relationship-building skills;
- Must be able to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance and hold a valid driver’s license;
- International Association of Airport Executives (IAAE) accreditation considered an asset.
