This role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in IBM middleware technologies and a passion for delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions in a team-oriented environment.As a Security and Middleware Specialist, you will lead the design, deployment, and support of critical middleware platforms including IBM Security Verify Access, IBM Security Directory Server, IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), and IBM DataPower. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of enterprise applications across development, testing, and production environments. This role also includes managing digital certificates, enforcing security compliance, and providing 24 x 7 on-call support.Key Responsibilities:Deploy, upgrade, patch, and maintain IBM Security Verify AccessImplement WebSeal reverse proxy, ACLs, SAML federation (IdP/SP) and OIDC federationsDeploy and maintain IBM Security Directory Server infrastructure, including password policies, DNs, and group structures.Generate ad hoc user ID reports and support IAM-related issues.Responsible for end-to-end digital certificate lifecycle management, including re-keying and certificate renewals for both client-owned and Kyndryl-owned certificates.Manage encryption and digital certificate compliance with industry standards.Deploy, upgrade, patch, and maintain IBM DataPower appliances and firmware.Support web services proxy, multi-protocol gateways, and AAA policies.Deploy, upgrade, patch, and maintain WebSphere Application Server environments.Manage application deployments (WAR/EAR), virtual hosts, JNDI bindings, data sources, and security configurations.Tune JVMs, thread pools, and connection pools for optimal performance.Troubleshoot issues using logs, heap/thread dumps, and browser debugging tools.Coordinate with clients to schedule and verify security patch implementations across DIT, SIT, UAT, and PROD.Work closely with developers, business analysts, and client stakeholders to ensure seamless application deployment and issue resolution.Participate in incident response teams to restore services during major outages.Coordinate with security and compliance teams to implement hardening measures and pass audits.Your Future at Kyndryl

And finally, you’re open and borderless – naturally inclusive in how you work with others.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.5+ years experience in IBM Security Verify Access5+ years experience in IBM Security Directory Server (LDAP)5+ years experience in IBM DataPower Gateways3+ years experience in SSO standards (SAML 2.0, OIDC) and vendors (Ping, Okta, etc.)3+ years experience in web application security (OWASP Top 10 threats)3+ years experience in Web Application Server and IBM HTTP Server1+ years experience with web application firewall technologies such as Imperva, F5, FortinetExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong knowledge of web application security protocols (HTTPS, REST, SOAP, TLS, Digital certificates) and best practices.Strong understanding of encryption algorithms, key management protocols, and security best practicesStrong communication and interpersonal skills.Strong knowledge scripting / programming languages such as Bash, Python, Perl, Java, etc.Experience with network protocols / concepts, TCP/IP, packet analysis, DNS, CDN, load balancers, and network troubleshootingAbility to provide 24 x 7 oncall supportBeing YouDiversity is a whole lot more than what we look like or where we come from, it’s how we think and who we are.
