- Oil/Gas Operations and Industrial experience
- Turnaround and Industrial Cleaning experience is required
- Class 5 Driver's License and a Clean Commercial Abstract
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a safety related field; education combined with experience will also be considered
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong time management skills to maximize office requirements vs field visits
- Strong customer service and a team player skill
- Proven administrative experience including strong proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail skills
- Ability to lead team members within area of responsibility

- Serve as a subject matter expert for confined space operations, industrial cleaning, and first aid
- Prepare and conduct daily and weekly safety meetings
- Prepare and implement all required rescue plans including confined space and work at heights
- Assist in the development of hazard assessment reviews with assigned crews
- Monitor onsite personnel for compliance with required safety, operations, client procedures, policies, rules, and permits
- Manage onsite resources including breathing air resources, gas detection equipment, radios, and meters. Providing technical support as required
- Perform daily detail review of all completed safety paperwork, ensuring required standards are achieved, documentation is orderly, copied as required by facility and safety department
- Take a support role in completion of worksite inspections and incident investigations as delegated by supervisor
- Supervise and mentor Vertex personnel
