- Execute the end-to-end onboarding experience for all new hires, ensuring they are set up for success from day one, including coordinating IT setups and orientation sessions.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions regarding benefits, policies, and payroll, providing day-to-day guidance and troubleshooting.
- Partner with the Senior HR Generalist to execute people initiatives within your assigned departments, providing operational support for performance management, compensation cycles, and ad-hoc initiatives.
- Plan and execute monthly, annual, and special social events that strengthen team connections and celebrate our shared achievements.
- Assist in organizing company-wide events and initiatives that celebrate team milestones and achievements.
- Act as the primary coordinator for immigration cases such as work permits, PR support, and LMIAs, liaising between employees and legal counsel to ensure timely processing.
- Manage the administrative onboarding and contract maintenance for international workers by liaising with Professional Employer Organisations (PEO), ensuring a smooth experience for our global talent.
- Execute the data tracking and reporting requirements for government reporting and programs.
- Regularly review and update HR policies to ensure strict compliance with Canadian labour regulations and company standards.
- Maintain absolute data integrity across our HR systems, specifically Hibob and ADP Workforce Now (US & CA Payroll).
- Ensure all mandatory health & safety and policy training are completed and documented for audit purposes.
- 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or People Operations role, ideally within a fast-paced technology company.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS and Payroll systems is required. Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and Hibob is highly preferred. Experience with Deel is a strong plus.
- Working knowledge of Ontario Employment Standards and human rights legislation. Familiarity with US employment law is a bonus.
- You are comfortable with high-volume administrative work and have a proven ability to manage complex processes (like immigration or government reporting).
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with technical and business teams alike.
