Remote Flexibility: In officeOur ClientOur client, a busy civil litigation and class actions practice, is seeking a Junior Litigation Clerk to join their team. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional with at least one year of litigation experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing procedural deadlines and court filings.Duties & ResponsibilitiesOpen and maintain litigation files, including conflict checks and file organizationDraft, format, and proofread pleadings, affidavits, motion materials, and correspondenceCoordinate service and filing of court documents, including affidavits of service and confirmationsFile materials through applicable court platforms in compliance with the Rules of Civil Procedure and practice directionsMaintain accurate diarization of limitation periods, hearing dates, and procedural deadlinesAssist with preparation for motions, mediations, discoveries, hearings, and trials, including compiling briefs and exhibitsManage document production tasks, including organizing records and preparing electronic/PDF briefsLiaise with courts, clients, process servers, and opposing counsel regarding scheduling and filingsTrack undertakings and follow-ups to support file progressionProvide calendar management, scheduling, and administrative support to assigned lawyersAssist with marketing and business development initiatives as neededRequirementsMinimum 1 year of litigation experience (law clerk and/or legal assistant)Strong knowledge of court procedures and litigation timelinesExcellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detailAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience with legal practice management and docketing systemsFamiliarity with iManage, Soluno, ACL, CaseLines, Westlaw, and CanLII considered an assetProfessional discretion and ability to handle confidential informationFlexibility to work overtime as requiredHOW TO APPLYKindly forward your resume to and quote Job #17012 in the subject line.We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
