We believe in our diverse shared power as being the key to serving our members, volunteers, community, and each other with the utmost care.BGC Ottawa is about building positive and inclusive environments for all.SUMMARY:The Senior Officer, Sponsorships & Partnerships is responsible for driving revenue through strategic sponsorships and mission-aligned partnerships that support BGC Ottawa’s priority initiatives, including capital campaigns, signature events, and community-based programs. Reporting to the Director, Major Gifts & Campaigns, the Senior Officer plays a key role in cultivating, securing, and stewarding relationships with corporate partners, foundations, and business leaders who are invested in creating positive impact for Ottawa’s children and youth.This role requires a results-oriented relationship builder who is comfortable leading multi-faceted negotiations, aligning partner goals with organizational priorities, and delivering value to sponsors through brand visibility, engagement opportunities, and recognition.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSponsorship & Partnership Development
  • Identify, cultivate, and secure new corporate sponsors and partners to support events, programs, and campaigns.
  • Develop customized sponsorship proposals that align partner interests with organizational priorities.
  • Negotiate partnership terms, recognition benefits, and deliverables in coordination with internal teams.
Campaign Integration
  • Collaborate closely with the Director, Major Gifts & Campaigns to align sponsorship opportunities with campaign priorities and timelines.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and donor/sponsor engagement strategies across the organization’s major fundraising efforts.
Stewardship & Reporting
  • Maintain ongoing communication and relationship management with sponsors and partners.
  • Ensure timely delivery of benefits and recognition, including media visibility, on-site branding, and post-event follow-up.
  • Track sponsorship metrics and provide reporting to funders as required.
Collaboration & Coordination
  • Work in close coordination with marketing & communications, events, and programs teams to ensure seamless execution of sponsorship deliverables.
  • Represent BGC Ottawa at community events, networking opportunities, and donor engagements as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising, business development, or corporate partnerships.
  • Demonstrated track record of securing sponsorships and building successful partnerships.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
