Learn more about BMT at .Key ResponsibilitiesBMT Canada is recruiting for a Senior Program Services Consultant - Training Development Officer. This role is responsible for providing expert advice and support across a wide range of customer and internal projects, as well as leading initiatives within their area of expertise. The successful candidate will also play a key leadership role in strengthening the capabilities of the Program Services (PS) team.
- Provide support to BMT Project Managers across multidisciplinary teams at various locations;
- Bring best industry practice to the attention of our customers and BMT project leaders, providing guidance in its adoption, or recommendations for future implementation;
- Harness BMT networks and relationships for customer and BMT benefit;
- Build and support a culture of trust and mutual respect on project teams and with customers;
- Demonstrate a growing ability to anticipate customer needs and meet unwritten expectations;
- Take an active role in the development of BMT PS Capabilities;
- Seek areas and advice from peers for personal development and improvement;
- Be a role model in all interactions with customers and within BMT;
- Contribute to the development of peers through formal or informal training, mentoring and guidance activities;
- Challenge BMT to continually develop, grow and improve;
- Take an active role in their professional development;
- Take a leadership role in the delivery of BMT projects to customers;
- Take a leadership role in PS team internal initiatives related to team operations, culture, and professional development.
- Membership with a Professional organization relevant to your area of expertise
- Previous experience with the Department of National Defence as a Training Development Officer.
- An active Professional Development Plan
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Comfortable presenting, in person, to audiences of 5-50 persons
- Knowledge and Awareness of Canadian Armed Forces structure and practice
- Fluent in French
- Certification relevant to a PS capability area
- Other practical area of specialty, such as finance, procurement, operations, performance, staffing in a government setting, or risk management
