- Co-develop DSGO strategy materials, data governance playbooks, policies, standards, and frameworks with stakeholders and maintain these documents
- Facilitate the necessary decision forums, processes, and controls to enable the effective stewarding of data assets by partnering with global platform teams, technology teams, and internal functions
- Drive continuous improvement efforts, monitor ongoing results, define process areas for review, and conduct benchmarking activities to ensure best in class results for data management leading practices
- Team with global data stewards and other stakeholders to understand their needs, identify opportunities for standardization, identify and assess critical data sets, and share leading practices
- Review, measure, and report on data quality on a regular cadence and provide oversight of programs that contribute to improving data quality
- Partner with global technology and application teams to identify and integrate governance practices to effectively manage data capabilities such as master data, data classification, and the data lifecycle by collecting requirements, designing process flows, and recommending solutions
- Lead all aspects of change management and training related to the rollout and ongoing activities of the DSGO
- Foster an innovation mindset to explore and identify new methods to oversee our data assets using leading practices and emerging technologies
- 5+ years of experience in data governance, data strategy, and/or data management
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong working knowledge of data governance and data management processes, including master data management, metadata management, data quality, and/or data access
- Ability to co-lead cross-functional data initiatives, such as data quality improvement, information access management, or data policy implementation.
- Ability to navigate through new challenges and take the initiative to solve problems and remove roadblocks by thinking critically and being resourceful
- Ability to gather business and technical requirements, identify gaps, conduct analysis, provide recommendations, and design solutions, programs, and processes with a focus on continuous improvement
- Proven experience managing concurrent programs with multiple stakeholders using results-oriented approach, strong project management skills, and attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication, with experience building strong relationships with peers and leaders by building trust and credibility
- Excellent collaborative skills with ability to exhibit flexibility as the environment and needs of the organization evolve
- Familiarity with Informatica, SAP, and Salesforce would be an asset but not required
