Title: Project Testing Coordinator (*18 Month Contract*)Reports To: Associate Director, Enterprise ApplicationPosition Summary:The Project Testing Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of project deliverables by overseeing all testing activities throughout the project lifecycle.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both manual and automated testing, with proven experience in ERP implementation. A key requirement for this role is deep expertise in using Azure DevOps to manage the entire testing lifecycle, from test planning and case management to defect tracking and reporting.Key Responsibilities:
  • Test Strategy & Planning:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies and plans for our enterprise and support projects.
  • Define the scope of testing for each release, including regression, functional, performance, and security testing.
  • Assign and manage testing tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of all QA activities.
  • Azure DevOps Management:
  • Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) as the central hub for all testing activities.
  • Create and manage test plans, test suites, and test cases within Azure Test Plans.
  • Oversee the entire defect lifecycle in ADO, from logging and triaging bugs to verifying fixes and closing them.
  • Configure and maintain dashboards and reports in ADO to provide clear visibility into test progress, defect trends, and overall product quality.
  • Integrate automated test runs into Azure Pipelines (CI/CD) and analyze test results.
  • Hands-On Testing & Automation:
  • Participate in hands-on testing activities, including exploratory testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and complex test case execution.
  • Collaborate with the automation team to identify key scenarios for test automation and contribute to the automation framework.
  • Review automated test scripts and ensure they provide effective coverage.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all QA-related matters within the project team.
  • Communicate test status, risks, and issues clearly and effectively to stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and leadership.
  • Work closely with developers to investigate and resolve defects.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise project quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role and at least one ERP implementation experience.
  • Proven, hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), including:
  • Proficiency with Azure Test Plans for managing test cases and suites.
  • Deep understanding of Azure Boards for work item and bug tracking.
  • Experience with Azure Pipelines for CI/CD and integrating automated tests.
  • Ability to create custom queries and dashboards in ADO.
  • Strong experience in designing and executing manual test cases for web applications, APIs, and mobile platforms.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), and the role of QA within them.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman).
  • Knowledge of a programming or scripting language (e.g., C#, Java, Python, JavaScript) will be an asset.
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing tools.
