Roofing SuperintendentCalgary, ABSalary: $90,000 - $110,000A well-established commercial roofing contractor in Calgary is seeking an experienced Roofing Superintendent to lead multiple crews across new construction, re-roof, and service projects in the Calgary region. This is a full-time, permanent role with strong growth potential for a hands-on field leader in operations.Company and Role OverviewMid-sized, reputable commercial roofing contractor with a strong backlog of work in Alberta.Projects include low-slope commercial, industrial, institutional, and large multi-family roofs.The Roofing Superintendent oversees multiple job sites, coordinating foremen, crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to spec.Key ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day field operations for multiple roofing projects in and around Calgary, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.Direct, coach, and support foremen and crews; set clear daily/weekly production goals and hold teams accountable for safety, quality, and productivity.Plan work sequencing, manpower, and equipment needs; coordinate deliveries, cranes, and material handling with suppliers and logistics.Enforce site safety programs, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with company policies and provincial OH&S regulations.Review drawings, specifications, and work orders; proactively resolve field issues and coordinate with the Project Manager on changes, RFIs, and punch-list items.Maintain clean, organized, and secure job sites; verify final roof watertightness and oversee project close-out with foremen.Build and maintain strong relationships with GCs, owners, consultants, and inspectors through clear, professional communication.Prepare daily reports, progress updates, and assist with time or production tracking as required.Qualifications5+ years of commercial or industrial roofing experience, including time as a Foreman or Lead Hand; Superintendent or Site Supervisor experience is strongly preferred.Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems (e.g., SBS, BUR, TPO, EPDM, metal) and related details, flashing, and tie-ins.Proven ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced construction environment.Demonstrated commitment to safety, with experience leading safety talks and enforcing site safety standards.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; calm under pressure and solutions-focused with clients and internal teams.Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel between job sites in the Calgary region.
