- Ensure that all operations are performed with the utmost regard for the safety and health of all personnel involved.
- Complete daily TAS inspections and maintenance including coordinating with traffic accomodation crews and standing signs etc.
- Attend weekly construction meetings with internal project team & external stakeholders (owner, consultant)
- Supervise Subcontractors on site for various construction scopes
- Assist with painting of temporary traffic lines
- Assist QC team with collection of roadway geometric data, provide reporting to Project Manager and Superintendent for daily review
- Complete pedestrian detour maintenance and inspections.
- Complete daily ECO inspections and ECO implementation.
- Host safety orientations as needed and file safety paperwork appropriately.
- Coordinate survey requests.
- Ensure site offices are clean and ensure sufficient supplies are available.
- Complete and coordinate hydrovac requests.
- Complete tree protection inspections and installation.
- Maintain and relocate site fencing when required.
- Ensure site is secure at end of day including closing site fencing and removing signs.
- Communicate in a professional manner with owners, consultants, sub-contractors, and all participants in the construction process.
- Other duties as required.
- Completion of or enrolment in relevant post-secondary education program is preferred (Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering)
- Class 5 Driver's License is required.
- Road construction experience is an asset.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Office etc.).

- Ability to work extended shifts including nights and weekends.
- Ability to work extended periods of consecutive night shifts (6pm or 8pm starts)
- Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust, grease, fumes, odors, oil, asphalt, and toxic and flammable substances.
- A portion of the work requires driving to various job sites, which may include sitting for extended periods of time, maintaining unhindered focus on the road and driving all types of conditions and weather. Must comply with all driving laws and company vehicle use policies.
- Use of sunscreen, long sleeves, and appropriate headgear is recommended.
- Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required.
- Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol policy, including testing requirements.
