- Ensure the preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes according to the standards established by the chef.
- Follow proper recipes, cooking techniques and preparation times.
- Ensure efficient organization, clear communication and appropriate distribution of tasks.
- Ensure that prepared meals meet established quality and presentation standards.
- Perform regular checks to maintain consistency and culinary excellence.
- Assist the head chef in training and supervising kitchen assistants and apprentices.
- Provide advice, guidance and practical demonstrations to develop the skills of kitchen staff.
- Ensure strict adherence to food hygiene, safety and cleanliness standards in all kitchen activities.
- Participate in the inventory management of kitchen section ingredients and supplies and assist in monitoring stock levels, placing orders and minimizing loss or waste.
- Any other related tasks to ensure the quality of the department's service.
- College diploma in cooking (or equivalent).
- Prior kitchen experience, preferably as a Chef de partie or similar position.
- Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of basic techniques.
- Ability to work in a team and to supervise kitchen staff members.
- Thorough knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with other team members and clients.
