Job Description:We are looking for a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our clients team on a contract basis in Surrey, British Columbia. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing payroll operations across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with provincial regulations.   • Process semi-monthly and biweekly payroll for multiple entities, covering approximately 400 employees.
  • Manage payroll operations using Sage and Paymate systems, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
  • Collaborate on payroll system transitions and assist with data migration to Paymate.
  • Prepare and submit Records of Employment (ROEs) and other required payroll documentation.
  • Verify timesheets and hourly payments, ensuring compliance with company policies and BC labour laws.
  • Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies with attention to detail.
  • Maintain detailed payroll records and generate reports as needed.
  • Support benefit administration tasks related to payroll processing.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members new to payroll activities.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll administration
  • Proficiency in using payroll systems such as Sage and Paymate.
  • Strong understanding of British Columbia labour laws and regulations.
  • Experience with payroll system implementation and data migration.
  • Ability to process ROEs and other relevant payroll documents.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively address payroll-related concerns.
  • Ability to work on-site in Surrey, British Columbia.
