Our client is seeking a Rail Logistics Specialist at their Mississauga location to support the execution, coordination, and visibility of rail-based shipments across their North American network.This is a hands-on role where you’ll own the details that keep rail shipments moving—executing contracts accurately, solving day-to-day logistics challenges, and making sure everyone has real-time visibility into what’s happening. You’ll work closely with the Logistics Manager and a tight-knit team across Canada and Mexico, playing an active role in daily rail operations while helping improve how things are done over time.Rail Logistics Specialist – Details· Full-time - Onsite schedule: Monday–Friday· Salary up to $65,000/ year· Benefits eligibility after 90 days· Discretionary bonus program. Location: Mississauga, ON· Limited travel (within Canada)Rail Logistics Specialist – Responsibilities· Execute and manage sales and purchase contracts, ensuring shipment status is accurately tracked and updated throughout the logistics lifecycle· Coordinate closely with internal facilities to plan loadings, issue instructions, and support efficient movement and storage of goods· Liaise with rail providers, shipping lines, freight partners, transloaders, and terminals to ensure timely and cost-effective execution· Monitor inbound and outbound shipments in transit, maintaining visibility and proactively addressing risks or delays· Prepare weekly logistics reports and monthly projection summaries to support planning and decision-making· Identify risks and opportunities within the logistics flow, escalating issues and proposing practical solutions· Support logistics-related projects and new initiatives as they arise· Maintain compliance with internal safety policies and operational standardsRail Logistics Specialist – Qualifications· Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field· 2–3+ years of experience in logistics or transportation operations. *Rail and ocean transportation experience required· Experience coordinating exports is strongly preferred (industry background not restricted)· Strong Excel skills with the ability to manage data, reporting, and shipment tracking· Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and tight timelines· Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external partners· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving· Self-starter who works well independently and collaboratively within a team
