- Lead, supervise, and coordinate multiple field crews and subcontractors on various projects primarily throughout Alberta and Western Canada.
- Ensure strict compliance with Koch-Glitsch Canada (KGC) and client environmental, health, and safety policies.
- Plan and execute workflow directives to meet project schedules and ensure efficient and safe completion of work.
- Oversee and support field activities, including construction, turnaround, and maintenance work on mass transfer process equipment.
- Prepare and submit all required site documentation, reports, and communications in a timely manner.
- Mentor and develop field personnel to uphold company standards and safety culture.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues on-site using sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and effective team management.
- Strong knowledge of OH&S construction industry standards and application.
- Ability to comprehend and execute Site Manager directives with attention to detail and safety.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret mass transfer equipment drawings.
- Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with turnaround construction projects, especially involving columns and mass transfer equipment.
- Familiarity with Koch-Glitsch and other vendor mass transfer products and installation methods.
- Knowledge of welding, cutting processes, pressure vessel codes, and quality control procedures.
- Understanding of confined space entry, rigging, blinding, tower inspection, and maintenance.
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience managing field crews and subcontractors in the refining, petrochemical, or related heavy industries.
- Ability to read and interpret Isometric drawings and P&IDs
- Industry standard certifications H2S alive, OSSA Confined space entry, OSSA Arrest, Intermediate first aid, CSTS 2020
- Leadership for Safety Excellence
- First line Supervisor training
- ICCS Certified
- Journeyperson/Red Seal an asset but not required
- First Aid (Level A or C)
- Basic Safety Orientation (OSSA)
- Many other tickets would be considered an asset, please list all tickets when applying.
- Experience working at heights.
- Ability to work extended hours, including days, weeks, or months away from home.
- Work outdoors under varying weather conditions, at heights, and in confined spaces.
- Use of breathing apparatus and respirators may be required.
- Extensive travel across Canada may be necessary.
