- Plan and conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in accordance with BC regulations and federal guidelines.
- Design and execute soil, groundwater, and surface water investigations to assess contamination levels and sources.
- Interpret analytical data and develop comprehensive site assessment reports, including risk assessments and recommendations for remediation.
- Develop and implement remediation strategies for contaminated sites, ensuring compliance with the BC Contaminated Sites Regulation (CSR).
- Liaise with provincial and federal regulatory agencies, ensuring project activities align with environmental legislation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice on environmental risk and liability issues.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and deliverables for multiple environmental projects concurrently.
- Ensure field activities are conducted in compliance with company health and safety protocols.
- Bachelor's Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in environmental consulting with a focus on contaminated sites, ideally within the infrastructure and pipeline sectors in BC.
- Certifications PAg, PBiol, or other relevant professional designations; CSAP certification (an asset).
- Strong knowledge of environmental site assessment techniques, contaminated site regulations, and remediation technologies.
- Proficient in GIS, data visualization tools, and statistical analysis software.
- Excellent technical writing, problem-solving, and communication skills.
