- Adhere to all Safety, Environmental and project requirements
- Provide geomatic services
- Gain hands-on survey experience and be part of an exciting project that is unique to Western Canada
- Aid the survey team in timely and accurate completion of surveys- set up, clean, calibrate and remove equipment
- Work outside in all types of weather, sometimes at-heights or in steep terrain
- Complete reports and follow up, aid in Computer-assisted drafting and technical programs
- Complete daily survey tasks as assigned by your crew chief
- Set up operation of conventional survey and GPS systems
- Prepare accurate and timely field notes
- Clean, calibrate and maintain survey equipment
- A high school graduate with a minimum of one year of previous experience, post-secondary training in an applicable field, preferred.
- A clear, concise communicator with excellent organizational and follow up skills
- Computer savvy and well-versed in MS Office suite. Survey-specific programs experience an asset.
- Ability to negotiate the terrain of an in-process construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, steep/ slippery terrain, walking, and working outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather and conditions
