Hitachi Energy is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Fulfillment Manager to lead our procurement operations and manage a high-performing purchasing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services. This role also includes mentoring team members, optimizing workflows, and fostering a collaborative and accountable team culture. The position is responsible for driving purchasing initiatives to improve customer on time delivery lead-time, and inventory levels.How you'll make an impact:Work with HUB to analyze market trends to forecast future purchasing needs.Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company goals.Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and production teamsResolve issues related to delivery delays, quality concerns, or supplier disputes.Support the profitable execution of customer and purchase orders, in coordination with project management, engineering, quality, manufacturing and strategic procurement.Inventory: Owns the inventory forecast for the local unit.Establishes and maintains inventory processes including raw materials, WIP, finished goods and contract assets (project units) in line with HUB / Business Line instructions.Is accountable for inventory within the site, and drive inventory optimization projects within the site.Continuous Improvement: Leads / contributes to cross-functional initiatives for optimizing customer on-time delivery, lead-time, inventory, material availability, resource utilization, and forecast accuracy.Uses lean 6 sigma tools whenever applicable.Develops and executes plans to reduce non-value-added costs and delight internal & external customers by delivering products on time.Ensures compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental policies and rules.Assesses risks and safety hazards and implements plans to ensure people and equipment safety.Provides local leadership for the development of best practices in purchasing and integrated ERPs.Leads fulfilment, operational purchasing and inventory management.Ensures (with HR support) that local teams are properly organized, staffed, skilled and developed.Guides, motivates, and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR and company policies.Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.Your background:Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, engineering, business, or related field and 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environmentCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work in CanadaProfessional certification (CSCP, CPSM, CPM, CPIM, or other purchasing, supply chain related certifications) are a plusEffective communication skills, both oral and writtenExperience with SAP is an important assetBilingual (English & French)We offer:Comprehensive group insurance (medical, dental, life and disability) and access to a telemedicine service.Pension plan with attractive employer contribution.Bonus program.24/7 employee and family assistance program.Fitness and wellness program.Dynamic social club.Work from home policy.Qualified individuals with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation if you are unable or limited in your ability to use or access the Hitachi Energy career site as a result of your disability.
