Spark Lifecare serves a varied caseload of clients that includes Traumatic Brain Injuries, Complex Medical Diagnoses, Voice and Fluency issues, Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as Developmental Delays. Our clients are looking for therapeutic services for assessment and treatment of cognitive-communication disorders, speech intelligibility challenges, and communication skills related to a variety of needs and challenges. Our clients have a wide range of interests, backgrounds, and range of ages.You would be the ideal therapist if you have 1-3 years of experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist and have a reliable vehicle to visit clients in their home or other community locations. Ideally, you have experience in the areas of language/communication delays, autism spectrum disorders, and have an interest in working with clients with a range of neurological diagnoses and enjoy working as part of a team.At Spark, We are committed to client-centered care and are passionate about improving communication skills for our clients.HOURSFlexible scheduling options available; Client-dependent schedulesRATE OF PAY60% of billable hourly rate (from $67.33-105.00/hour)Requirements:
- Registration in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
- Valid Drivers License and access to a reliable vehicle
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work independently as well as with a multidisciplinary team team
- Computer skills (i.e. ability to work in MS Word and Outlook)
- Experience providing SLP assessment and treatment in a community setting
- Bilingualism, preferred, but not required
