- Reporting to the Manager, Project Controls, you will support the Project Management Office (PMO) in the execution of change controls
- Act as a lead for change controls, supporting the team in all aspects of change management administration for projects, including:
- Collecting requirements of the contract
- Gaining customer acceptance of arising contracts (1379 forms)
- Control and facilitate changes to project baseline (original) scope, liaising with internal stakeholders (integrated project team), and external customers
- Support the project delivery teams in maintaining a controlled and defined project work scope throughout the life of the project, including both original and arising scope
- Support project manager through facilitating commercial and technical reviews of project arising scope to present to customers for acceptance - this may occur through impromptu discussions or formal Change Control Board reviews
- Investigate and facilitate the collection of background project information to assist with the development of arising contracts
- Develop arising contracts for customer approval to incorporate arising/additional scope into the project
- Monitor progress of all open and in-process arising scope contracts, as well as the completion of original baseline scope to enable project closeout and invoicing
- Track project scope (pipeline, original and arising) and provide reporting metrics for delivery to the customer
- Review and update existing business/project scope control processes to maximize team productivity and minimize turnaround times and delays
- Other duties as assigned
- Relevant academic background preferably at a post-secondary degree level in business management, accounting, finance, engineering or another relevant field
- You have a minimum of 2 years' experience leading a team in a project environment with a minimum of 4 years of overall Project Management experience.
- Advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel and strong spreadsheet modelling
- Demonstrated analytical abilities in budgeting and financial management
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, including writing formal reports, and making presentations
- Work experience dealing in contracts or commercial aspects is an asset
- Project Management Professional designation (or working towards this designation) is an asset
- Experience working with the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) and/or Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is an asset
