- Remain current on emerging cybersecurity trends and news to identify potential new avenues for new research.
- Conduct primary and secondary research to develop deeper understanding of real-world cybersecurity problems.
- Follow the Info-Tech research process to turn hypotheses into insights, and insights into solutions. Build thought models, frameworks, methods, and related tools to transform solutions into action.
- Contribute to Info-Tech’s monthly security and privacy reports, offering unique perspectives on current news.
- Turn research into compelling keynotes and other presentations.
- Lead online meetings with Info-Tech members to help them understand and implement our research within their organizations.
- Occasionally lead online or onsite workshops with Info-Tech members to guide them through implementing our research within a condensed timeframe.
- Participate in webinars, conference presentations, and videos to showcase our research to larger audiences.
- University degree (MA, MBA, or MSc beneficial) or equivalent experience in formal research methods.
- Experience working in cybersecurity or information security within industry, government, research, or academia. Experience in the following areas is beneficial but not required.:
- Securing AI or the use of AI in cybersecurity
- Identity and access management
- Zero-trust network architecture
- Application security or DevSecOps
- Professional certification in Information Security (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC) or related domains.
- Experience in PowerPoint and Excel. Experience with generative AI systems will be beneficial.
- Ability to self-manage, prioritize, and plan work in a dynamic environment.
- Analysis, insight, and problem solving.
- Written and verbal communication.

- Ability to take initiative and collaborate across teams to get things done.
