Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)Job Description : We are seeking an experienced Oracle Financial Accounting Hub (FAH) Consultant responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting FAH solutions to enable sub-ledger accounting, event-based accounting, and seamless integration with General Ledger systems.The role requires close collaboration with finance, business, and technical teams to ensure accurate accounting, compliance, and reporting.Key Responsibilities1. Functional Responsibilities
- Design and implement Oracle FAH solutions for complex accounting requirements
- Analyze source systems and define:
- Accounting events
- Journal entry rules
- Mapping and derivation rules
- Configure FAH components:
- Accounting Event Classes
- Accounting Methods
- Journal Line Definitions
- Mapping Sets
- Descriptive Flexfields (DFF)
- Ensure end-to-end integration between:
- FAH
- Oracle General Ledger (GL)
- Upstream transaction systems
- Support:
- Subledger Accounting (SLA) setup
- Reconciliation processes
- Period close activities
- Audit requirements
- Perform:
- Unit testing
- Integration testing
- UAT
- Production validation
- Prepare:
- Functional Design Documents (FDDs)
- Configuration workbooks
- Test scripts
- Collaborate on:
- Data extraction and transformation from source systems
- FAH inbound interface design (file-based or middleware-driven)
- Support:
- Error handling
- Accounting failures
- Interface issue resolution
- Provide inputs for:
- Reports
- Validations
- Control frameworks
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Financial Accounting Hub (FAH)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles
- Deep knowledge of sub-ledger to General Ledger (GL) flow
- Experience with:
- Oracle Fusion Financials OR Oracle EBS Financials
- Oracle GL and SLA (Subledger Accounting)
- Strong understanding of:
- Accounting rules
- Reconciliation processes
- Technical skills:
- PL/SQL
- Oracle FAH
- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance (BFSI) (preferred)
- Exposure to regulatory and audit compliance processes
- Experience in ERP / finance transformation programs
- Exposure to data migration and modernization initiatives
- Strong stakeholder communication and documentation skills
- Experience in Agile / hybrid delivery environments
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Accounting / Finance / Commerce / Technology
- 5–10 years of relevant ERP / financial systems experience
- Oracle Financials / FAH certification (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication with business and technical teams
- High attention to detail and ownership mindset
