As a reputable architecture and design firm in the industry, they excel at producing high quality architecture and have a collaborative and supportive work environment.THE ROLEOur client is looking for an experienced Architectural Technologist / Technician, with a strong background in creating construction documents and working drawings in Revit, ideally across public, community and institutional projects. As part of a team, you will work with architects to translate design intent into technical solutions.Your responsibilities will include:Developing and refining detailed architectural drawings and technical packages that meet quality, schedule, and budget targets - using RevitProduce high level details for drawing packagesComplete design tasks such as programming and researchCoordinating layouts, details, and assemblies with engineering disciplinesLiaise with municipal authorities to support permit submissionsParticipating in site reviews and addressing technical challenges as they arise, respond to change order submissions and other CA related tasksCommunicate with the project team and other stakeholders, ensuring technical aspects of the project stays on scheduleWHAT'S REQUIRED5–12 years of professional experience on architectural projects with at least 4 years of working knowledge of the Canadian Building codes/bylawsExperience working with public-sector or institutional projects preferred.Registration (or eligibility) with a professional architectural association is an assetExcellent skills using Revit with prior hands on industry experience behind youSolid understanding of building codes, construction methods, and building systems in CanadaExperience coordinating with multiple disciplines and stakeholdersDiploma in Architectural Technology or related educationReliability clearance preferred or ability to obtain it (mandatory - this requires a background check dating back 5 years).WHAT YOU GET IN RETURN
