Job Description:Our client is seeking for a skilled Human Resources (HR) Manager to join their team on contract basis in Edmonton, Alberta. This role supports the development and delivery of employee wellness initiatives while working closely with a collaborative HR team. The ideal candidate is a strong HR professional with experience in occupational health and safety, proven leadership abilities, and a solid background in HR administration, capable of driving initiatives and supporting organizational goals.Responsibilities:

Lead employee wellness programs and engagement initiatives.
Supervise and support HR team members.
Manage return-to-work programs and ensure OHS compliance.
Communicate updates through newsletters and engagement activities.
Advise senior leadership on HR and union-related matters.
Support and execute wellness projects.
Improve HR processes and workflows.
Assist with board documentation and reporting.
Use HR systems (ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian) for payroll and benefits.
Ensure compliance with WCB and relevant regulations.

Requirements:Requirements:

HR management experience, ideally in unionized healthcare settings.
Strong leadership with executive-level decision-making ability.
Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
Proficient in HR systems (ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, ATS).
Skilled in HR administration, benefits, and wellness programs.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Collaborative team player with diverse stakeholders.
Experience managing high-volume, multi-site HR operations.
