
Specialty Fitness Instructor, Pilates

- Lead customized private, duo, trio, and small group Reformer Pilates sessions, tailoring instruction to meet individual goals and physical capabilities.
- Visually assess participants to determine skill levels and ensure exercises are performed safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with the personal training team to build and maintain your book of business through referrals and Oval membership engagement.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with members, ensuring excellent customer service and client retention.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and proper setup of the Pilates studio and Reformer equipment.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and injury prevention procedures; report any incidents and complete necessary documentation.
- Provide first-aid treatment as required and coordinate additional care when needed.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience teaching Pilates, with training in comprehensive classical Pilates on the Reformer and Cadillac.
- Certification in Pilates Reformer from a recognized organization.
- Experience in Mat Pilates is preferred.
- Background in Kinesiology or experience working with clients recovering from injury is considered an asset.
- Valid Standard First Aid Certificate from a recognized provider, with CPR-C and AED Certification.
- Experience working with Xplor Recreation is considered an asset.
- Completion of the National Pilates Certification Program is considered an asset.
- Successful completion of Criminal Record Check.
- Ability to work both independently and within a class-based team environment.
- Excellent verbal communication and motivational skills.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on professionalism and client care.
- Availability to work daytime, evening and weekends, with
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
