We are always on the lookout for talented individuals to join our team.The OpportunityThe Associate Account Executive is a sales-focused role dedicated to identifying, prospecting, and onboarding new advertising clients. You will play a critical role in expanding Postmedia’s client base by delivering custom marketing solutions that meet the needs of small to mid-sized businesses across Canada. This is an ideal position for a goal-oriented self-starter looking to launch or grow a career in media sales.Key Responsibilities
- Proactively prospect and engage new business leads through outbound outreach, cold calling, social media, and email campaigns.
- Work with the sales development team on sales qualified leads, starting from the discovery phase of the sales pipeline.
- Identify client needs and recommend tailored advertising solutions
- Conduct virtual discovery calls and sales presentations to decision-maker
- Assist the client services team, as required, to help maintain relationships with clients and assist with all renewals and upsell opportunities.
- Identify client needs and recommend tailored advertising solutions across multiple platforms.
- Manage a pipeline of opportunities and consistently meet or exceed activity and revenue targets.
- Record all client interactions, progress, and forecasting details in CRM tools
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape, and local market opportunities.
- Ability to prospect, identify, pursue, and close new revenue opportunities
- Strong technical, sales, and listening skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think and act independently within a fast-paced multi-task driven environment
- Knowledge and understanding of existing and developing technologies as it relates to digital marketing; understanding and identifying opportunities for customers
- Track record of managing time efficiently, meeting personal goals, and working effectively with internal, partner, and customer teams
- Experience with CRM, and web-based meeting applications (e.g. Microsoft Teams)
