Centennial Carstar Charlottetown is looking to hire a Body Shop Assistant!NOW HIRING: Body Shop AssistantLOCATION: Centennial Carstar Charlottetown, Charlottetown, PEIHOURS: Permanent full time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pmWAGES: $18.00 - 21.00 per hour + benefits (negotiable based on experience)THE PERFECT FIT:Centennial Carstar Charlottetown is seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Shop Assistant. You're physically capable, adaptable, and want to work in a fun environment. Your day could involve washing cars, organizing parts, Shuttling vehicles or helping with rentals. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to start a career in the collision industry, with potential for growth and training for the right candidate. You're always on the go and play a key part in helping things run smoothly.APPLICABLE SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Must be reliable and show initiative
  • Physically capable
  • Valid Canadian driver’s license required.
MAIN JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assisting with the Rental Fleet:
  • Occasionally clean rental cars to ensure a good condition for customers
  • Perform basic inspection of rental vehicles to identify any issues, wear and tear or cosmetic damage, and report findings to manager
  • General Assistance:
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Assisting in parts as needed
  • Parking lot organization
  • Shuttling staff members offsite and run basic errands
  • Other duties as required
